What I Got For Christmas 2016

Hello everyone!

I cannot believe that Christmas is already over for another year. Today I am going to be sharing with you everything that I got for Christmas this year. I did one of these posts last year and you all seemed to love it, so I wanted to do the same this year. I got so many amazing things this year and I can't wait to share them all with you.

Starting with the bits and pieces I got from my friends. I have had my eyes on the Gabriella Primark range for a few months now, everything is just so pretty. I got a gorgeous canvas for my bedroom which says 'need more sleep' and has lots of purple, gold and black polka dots on it. I think that the little black cat totally sold it for me! I really love this range because the colour scheme matches my bedroom really well; purple, white and metallic. I am definitely going to be picking up a few more bits from the range, I absolutely love it!

I also got some smellies, as well as a gorgeous smelling hand cream from The Body Shop. I am always looking for hand creams and I also keep one in my handbag because my hands get really dry in the Winter months. The scent I got is Frosted Berries, and if you live near The Body Shop then you definitely need to have a smell. It's honestly one of the nicest scents that The Body Shop have ever done:)

I got tons of presents from my family as well as money. Most of the presents are beauty and makeup themed, so I am going to show you those first.

The first makeup item I got is the Kat Von D Shade & Light Contour Palette, which is something that I have had on my wish list for AGES! I am absolutely in love with the palette and I've already used it a few times (including Christmas Day). I will be doing a full review of the palette if that is something you would like to see, but it's safe to say that it has definitely lived up to my expectations!

I also got one of the Benefit Cosmetics limited edition Christmas gifts. The one I got is the Dolly Darling set which contains a Porefessional Primer, Hoola Bronzer, Roller Lash Mascara and the Gimme Brow Gel. All of the products are full sized apart from the brow gel, and it's really great value for money in my opinion.

I got a few different pieces from LUSH too. I got the Father Christmas gift set which includes five different bath bombs; Golden Wonder, Father Christmas, Luxury Lush Pud, Northern Lights and Never Mind The Ballistics. I really like that you can re use the tin from this gift set. I'm currently storing some LUSH bits and pieces in it.

The other LUSH gift set I got is the Christmas Bathtime Favourites set. This set contains a few more products than the other gift set. Inside is Golden Wonder, Star Dust, Shoot For The Stars, Northern Lights, Mistletoe, Luxury Lush Pud, Butterbear, Father Christmas and Satsuma.

A few months ago I unfortunately cracked my No7 Illuminated Makeup Mirror which I use when applying my makeup because it gives the perfect amount of lighting. I finally have another one so I can do my makeup with a mirror which isn't broken:)

Real Techniques brushes are my absolute favourite makeup brushes. The Bold Metals collection is absolutely gorgeous and I am so happy with this set that I received. The bristles are super soft just like any other Real Techniques brush. And, of course, they look really pretty too!

I received lots of items from Zoella's beauty range and one item from the lifestyle range, so I am going to quickly talk through those now. The first set I received is the Bath Fizz Trio which consists of three gingerbread men shaped bath bombs, all of which smell like gingerbread. I also got the Gingerbread & Vanilla gift set. I absolutely love the scent of the Zoella Christmas range and I am all stocked up for the next few months! The final item from the beauty range is the Secret Scenta set which includes all four of the fragrances ever released from Zoella; all in mini form! From the lifestyle range I got the Homemade Treats Reed Diffuser and it smells amazing.

YSL Black Opium is my all time favourite fragrance I was ecstatic to receive a gift set; which even contains a tiny version of the perfume to put in my handbag:)

As well as all of the lovely gifts I've mentioned, I also got a few different beauty sets from Soap & Glory which I will insert pictures of.

The final few beauty related items I got are Victoria's Secret body mists. I love their body mists because they do a huge range of scents. I got the scents Love Spell and Mango Temptation, both of which I am obsessed with. As well as those sprays I got a new Tangle Teezer because I have had my other one for a VERY long time.

Onto non beauty related items... I got 6 Blu Rays because I love watching films. The ones I got are as follows: The BFG, Finding Dory, Joe & Caspar Hit The Road USA, The Secret Life Of Pets, Nine Lives and Bad Neighbours 2. I also got the third installment in the Zoella Girl Online series; Going Solo. I cannot wait to read my book and watch all of my films!

Finally, I got a personalised canvas which has lots of photos of my cats on. I absolutely love it and it will be taking pride of place on my bedroom wall:)

I hope that you enjoyed finding out what I got for Christmas. I would love for you to tell me in the comments what YOUR favourite Christmas presents were!

Easy Homemade Cookies With Betty Crocker

Hello everyone!

I had planned to do lots of festive baking over the Christmas period, but I simply haven't had the time to do anything too ambitious. I picked up two cookie mixes from Asda (one white chocolate chunk and one milk chocolate chip) and they were super easy to make. I thought that I would write a blog post and share some photos of the cookies, because I did promise to do some Christmas baking over the festive period!

I got a white chocolate cookie mix as well as a milk chocolate chip cookie mix. The packets contain the powdered cookie mix, and then all you need to do is add two tablespoons (30ml) of water. I used the Rosie's Pantry measuring cups to measure out the water. The design I have is from last year, but they have a set this year which is very similar.

The cookies take about 15 minutes in the oven and about 5 minutes to prepare, so that's about 20 minutes in total for one packet.

They don't look like the ones on the front of the packet at all, but they still taste really nice!

I hope that you enjoyed this post. Let me know if you would like to see more baking themed posts in the future, where I actually make something a little more ambitious! Have you done any baking over the festive period?

Beauty Bloggers Made Me Buy It

Hello everyone!

I have seen a few 'bloggers made me buy it' blog posts and YouTube videos circling around recently. I thought that I might as well jump on the band wagon and share with you some of the products I have bought because I have seen them on other blogs and YouTube channels.

Benefit PoreFessional Primer:
The first item I am going to be talking about is the Benefit PoreFessional. I bought this primer on my way to France in 2014 and I have been loving it ever since. I love that this primer smooths out the skin ready for foundation, and it doesn't feel greasy or oily in the slightest. I also find that this primer gives my skin that extra bit of mattification, which helps out my oily skin quite a bit.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer:
I did used to have really mixed feelings about this concealer, but I am completely obsessed with it now. I actually need to repurchase this concealer as I just ran out of it last week! Despite being under £5 this concealer gives a really great coverage. I tend to use it under my eyes and on any blemishes, and it looks great and lasts well throughout the day. If you want a concealer that won't break the bank then this is definitely the one to go for:)

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder:
This pressed powder has made multiple appearances on my blog, and you should all know by now that I absolutely love it! I am always stocked up on this powder because I go through it like there's not tomorrow, but I'm not complaining for only £3.99 a pop. I don't really switch up my powder anymore because I love this one and I know that I will never find one that's better for the same price. If you are looking for an affordable powder that is going to keep you matte for at least 6 hours then you should check this one out.

MAC Well Dressed Blush:
I actually cannot remember when I first purchased this blush, but I know that it was my first ever blush from MAC. I recall tons of beauty bloggers raving about this blush a few years ago, and I jumped on the bandwagon and tried it out for myself. When the blush was really popular all that time ago I was a very big fan, but the shade isn't something that I would wear now. I do love the formula of MAC blushes in general, but the shade just isn't for me anymore. Back in the day I would give it a 10/10 though!

L'Oreal Infallbile Sculpt Contouring Duo:
I have had this contour duo for quite a long time so I have been able to try this out many times. I never thought I would be one for cream contour products, but boy was I wrong! I absolutely love this as the formula is super creamy. Both shades in this palette blend out on the cheeks really easily and nicely, and don't look streaky or patchy whatsoever. The formula is cream to powder, so both products set as a powder and don't budge at all. I was so surprised by this product but I love it anyways.

Benefit They're Real Mascara:
I first tried this mascara when I purchased it in the duty free shop on the way to France. I have been a fan of this mascara ever since, and in my eyes it ticks all of the boxes. The formula is great and is lengthening as well as volumising, although it is a pain to remove at the end of the day! I would say that if you are looking for a mascara that is great all round then They're Real will be your best friend.

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick:
MAC Creme Cup is such a classic MAC lipstick shade which was very highly raved about a couple of years ago. Creme Cup was one of my very first MAC lipstick shades because it is such a wearable everyday shade. I used to wear this lipstick every single day but I have recently been experimenting with lip shades, which is why I haven't been wearing it very often recently.

Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits:
Obviously I had to include the Kylie lip kits aka the most talked about beauty product of 2016. I currently own three Kylie lip kits and two glosses, and I love them to pieces. The first two kits were such a chore to get a hold of, but the most recent one was fairly easy for me to buy. From the permanent lip kit collection I own Candy K and Dolce K, Dolce K being my favourite, and from the holiday collection I have the shade

Kylie Cosmetics KyShadow Burgundy Palette:
This KyShadow palette is fairly new to my collection. I read and watched endless reviews of this palette which is why I finally decided to take the plunge and buy one. All 9 shades are absolutely gorgeous and totally up my street. I haven't had the palette for all too long but I have already gotten so much use from it! I feel like this is the perfect palette for the Autumn/Winter, but I will still probably use it all year round to be honest. The formula is one of the nicest that I have ever used and I am so happy that I own this palette:)

That is everything I am going to be taking about in this post. Please do let me know if you would be interested in a second part to this blog post, because there are a lot more products which I could have mentioned!
