Superdrug Limited Edition Sweet Shop Collection!*

Hello everyone!

I was beyond excited when the new Superdrug Sweet Shop Collection landed on my doorstep. I have saw a few blog posts featuring the products and when they sent me the collection I HAD to blog about it! The products came in a gorgeous box (pictures below) and I will definitely be keeping it to store other items in! The whole range smells absolutely gorgeous, just like sweets:) I absolutely love the pastel packaging of the items too.

Raspberry Bubblegum Shower Gel
This is definitely my favourite product from the range and I will be picking up a few more of these as it smells absolutely incredible. If you have ever had a blue slushie then it smells EXACTLY like that! This lathers up really nicely and hydrates the skin whilst smelling great. I also use this as a bubble bath and it creates a nice mountain of bubbles in the bath, and you can smell the distinct scent in the whole house!

Pear Drops Shampoo and Conditioner
These too smell great, and you get a nice whiff of the candy scent throughout the day when you use this. At first smell, I couldn't quite pick up the pear scent, I would say it is more of a vanilla scent but it is still great! This isn't going to work wonders for your hair, it is more of a sweet smelling fun product. I would recommend this for occasional use as it doesn't add any moisture to the hair, it just adds a sweet scent to it.

Strawberry Bon Bon Tissues
I didn't even know that there was such thing as scented tissues, until I saw the Strawberry Bon Bon tissues in the box. The scent isn't too strong and the box is the perfect decoration for your bedroom or bathroom.

Lemon Sherbet Dry Shampoo
I can definitely smell lemon in this dry shampoo, and it isn't too strong as well. Like most dry shampoos, this does leave a little bit of white powder in the hair but nothing that can't be sorted with a quick comb of the hair:)

Vanilla Fudge Self Heating Face Mask
I haven't tried the face mask out yet but I did smell it, and it smells exactly like fudge. I feel this may smell a little sickly to be on the face for a long time, but I will let you know how I get on with it and how my skin reacts with it. I did pop a little bit on my hand and it warmed up pretty quickly, I loved the feeling it left on my hand.

Jelly Bean Body Spray
I am going to be keeping this in my bag for touch ups throughout the day as it is the perfect scent, not too musky and not too sweet. It is a body spray so it doesn't last as long as a perfume would, but like I said it is the ideal size to keep in your bag.

The sweet shop range starts off at 79p, an absolute bargain!

So, what do you think of the new Superdrug collection? Have you tried anything out yet? I would love to know your thoughts on the range:)

Until next time,
Emily xo

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette | Swatches & Review

Hello everyone!

I wasn't planning on buying the Naked Smoky palette, I was going to ask for it for Christmas, but I gave in and finally ordered it from Debenhams. I am a big fan of the previous Naked palettes, so I was sure that this palette would not let me down.

I was very excited when the palette arrived on my doorstep, which was earlier than expected, and I knew I had to blog about it ASAP!
Packaging of the palette

I love the packaging of this palette, even better than the rose gold packaging of the Naked 3, and I love the brush that you get with it too. This palette has everything in it to create the perfect smoky eye; from mattes to satins.
Inside the palette

I have used this palette a good amount of times since I received it, and I am in love! The shadows last really well on the eyes, just like the other Naked palettes, and are very pigmented and easy to blend.
First six shades (from L-R: High, Dirtysweet, Radar, Armor, Slanted & Dagger)

Last six shades (from L-R: Black Market, Smolder, Password, Whiskey, Combust & Thirteen)

My favourite shades so far are: High (shimmery pink champagne) , Dirtysweet (golden frost) and Whiskey (matte chocolate brown).
This palette does not come with samples of the primer potions or a free mini, like the previous palettes have done, but it comes with a really useful booklet where you can find some really great eye looks using the shades from the palette.

Have you tried out the Naked Smoky palette? Let me know what you thought in the comments:)

CODE FFL Review*

Hello everyone!

I was recently sent the CODE VLM and FFL to review on my blog and was very excited when the package arrived. Many of you will know that I reviewed the CODE VLM mascara, and I was a big fan of it! Code Beautiful have recently came out with a new product that you apply before your mascara, and they sent me one as well as another of their VLM mascaras.

I definitely noticed a difference in my mascara when I used the pre mascara product and found that my lashes looked even better than when I use the mascara by itself. If you take a look at the images below it shows the mascara applied by itself and the mascara applied with the pre mascara product.

The product itself is a creamy light brown formula that plumps and thickens each individual lash. FFL has conditioning agents to care for lashes and prevents the mascara from cracking and flaking.

The pre mascara product is very easy to use. You just need to use the same technique as the VLM mascara (roots, wriggle, roll!) and wait about 30 seconds, then you can apply your mascara and build away!

The CODE FFL is available to buy here, priced at £18.00. You can also buy the VLM mascara here, priced at £19.95.

I am interested to see if the FFL works just as well with a non CODE mascara, I will get back to you on that one though! I think it is definitely worth the extra step when you're doing your makeup as it keeps your lashes on tip top form:)

*NEW* Sleek Creme To Powder Blushes!

Hello everyone!

I don't tend to use crème blushes as I think they can often look a little cakey, but when Sleek came out with a brand new line of crème to powder blushes I just had to try them! I took a little trip down to Superdrug to choose one of the shades (I didn't want to get them all in case I didn't like them) and the very next day I tested the shade French Rose...

The packaging is just like NARS packaging, and of course it is the standard matte black colour with the Sleek logo. This packaging is very sturdy and I would say I prefer this to the normal Sleek packaging. This compact also has a full sized mirror so it is perfect for on the go.

I really like the shade that I chose and I liked it even better when it was applied to my face. I would say that this shade is completely matte, I don't know if any of them have any shimmer in them, and it looked just as good 8 hours later than it did when I first applied it!

The blush was really easy to blend out and it set into a powder form almost instantly.

I will definitely be picking up some more of these blushes and for £5.99 they are an absolute bargain:)

Have you tried any of the new blushes by Sleek? Let me know what you thought in the comments below!

Until next time,
Emily xo

GOSH AW15 Range | Review

Hello everyone!

Superdrug recently sent me a few bits from the new GOSH AW15 range that I believe is out in stores now, but I may be wrong on that. I am going to be going through each product that I was sent and giving you my first impressions of each, I have only used the items a handful of times so I can't give a full on review but I will let you know how I get on with the products in the near future:)

GOSH #FOUNDATIONDROPS in the shades 002 and 004
The thing that I was most excited about trying from the new range is the foundation. I was sent the shades 002 Ivory and 004 Natural as I was not sure what shade I would be. First of all, I was not too keen on the bottle design, as the foundation comes out of a pipette and it can be messy. Also the foundation is extremely runny, and I do prefer a thicker foundation. With that being said, I tried the foundation out anyways. Like I said before, the foundation is very runny but when I applied it to the skin it set fairly quickly. I was really surprised when I applied this as it is very lightweight, I couldn't feel it whatsoever! This foundation is described to be a medium buildable coverage, and I totally agree. I did not set this with a pressed powder as I wanted to really give it a run for its money, and within 2 hours it did begin to oxidize around the t zone. The next time I try this out I will be using a powder and primer so I can see if it lasts any longer, but from what I have tried so far I think I am going to like this foundation.

GOSH Boombastic XXL Swirl Volume Mascara with Argan Oil
Many of you will know that I am a big mascara junkie, I love to try out new mascaras and compare them to others, so when I saw this amongst the rest of the makeup I got a tad overexcited! I applied one coat to my lashes and instantly fell in love! I would compare this mascara to the Rimmel Wonder'Full, as they have similar wands and are enriched with argan oil. The only downside to this mascara is I can definitely feel it on my lashes, but I will continue to wear it and let you know how I get on with it.

GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick Matt in 003 Antique
The first shade of lipstick I got sent is just like a Kylie Jenner shade. I was very impressed with this lipstick, as I was with the others, as they all dried matte almost instantly. As I have mentioned before, matte lipsticks are my favourite, so I was really looking forward to try these.
GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick Matt in 004 Coral
A lot of matte lipsticks can be unflattering and drying on the lips, but these ones by GOSH are really moisturising. They are all really creamy and glide onto the lips with ease.
GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick Matt in 007 Cherry
This last shade is my favourite, and is perfect for Autumn/Winter time. I really like to wear bold lipsticks, but only when they are matte. These lipsticks also have natural bee wax in them so they keep your lips moisturised and smooth.

GOSH Nail & Cuticle Oil
I have tried the other nail item that they sent me, which is a nail and cuticle oil. I have never ever heard of an oil for your nails, and at first it sounded gross! But, for the sake of this post I applied some to my nails and rubbed it in (as the instructions say). I was actually quite surprised as it didn't leave my nails feeling greasy and has a slight scent of coconuts too.

I hope that you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of the items mentioned.

Shop this post: GOSH #FoundationDrops (£12.99) // GOSH Boombastic XXL Swirl Volume Mascara (£8.49) // GOSH Velvet Touch Matt Lipsticks (£6.99 each) // GOSH Nail and Cuticle Oil (£4.99)

Until next time,
Emily xo
